Good afternoon fellow Boston Skalleagues, I start this communication with a heavy heart as I have heard some of you have been furloughed until we can get ahead of this pandemic. I am truly sorry because if there was a time when we need to gather and be among friends, this would be that time. I must once again deliver unfortunate news. Honoring the Governor’s decision to ban gatherings of more than 25 people, our April meeting at the Hampshire House has been cancelled. Fellow Skalleaugues, With the recent declaration of a state of emergency by Governor Baker, and in the best interest of continued good health and safety, I am cancelling the March Skål Boston Luncheon. The luncheon was scheduled to be held at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge on Thursday, March 19, 2020. I would like to thank Eduardo Fernandez, General Manager and Jim Anello, Director of Catering Sales for their support and guidance over the past weeks.
